By signing, we pledge not to use chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects in our products, and to implement substitution plans that replace unsafe materials with safer alternatives in every market we serve.

Everyday products such as pet shampoos and grooming sprays may contain chemicals linked to cancer and other serious health consequences. Why? Because manufacturers are allowed to use almost any chemical as an ingredient without government approval.

We feel products should be made with safe, non-toxic ingredients. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is a coalition of U.S.-based health and environmental groups working to protect cosmetics consumers from toxic chemicals and hold companies accountable for the safety of their products.
